Meditation and art workshop in collaboration with SKY TAMU

We hosted a meditation and art workshop in collaboration with the student organization SKY TAMU. Together, we began with a guided meditation session to calm our minds and center our thoughts. Thereafter, we unleashed our creativity using colorful papers and blank canvases, engaging in various arts and crafts activities that allowed participants to express their emotions and reduce stress. The workshop provided a serene space for participants to connect, share stories, and find solace amid the stress of exam week.

Doodling workshop for the PATHS students, Texas A&M University

We hosted a doodling workshop facilitated by our founder and incredible healing partner, Ms. Ramya, who took center stage as a guest speaker! She led an enlightening session on harnessing the power of doodling for stress management, leaving the PATHS students brimming with inspiration and newfound skills. The students engaged in hands-on activities, discovering the therapeutic benefits of artistic expression.

Throughout the workshop, Ms. Ramya guided the students through various doodling techniques, emphasizing how these simple yet powerful art forms can help alleviate stress and promote mental well-being. The PATHS students not only learned new artistic skills but also experienced the calming and restorative effects of creative expression firsthand. It was a day filled with inspiration, learning, and positive transformation, reinforcing the importance of integrating art into mental health practices.

Art Therapy workshop in collaboration with Texas A&M Galleries.

In collaboration with Texas A&M Galleries, we hosted an inspiring art therapy workshop. It’s not just about creating art; it’s about unlocking the power of imagination and self-expression. We are so grateful for the amazing experience of our first successful session and can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.

Art therapy activity

  • Writing Down Weighing Thoughts: Start by writing down everything that’s weighing you down on a white paper. Let out all your heavy thoughts and emotions without holding back.
  • Expressing Stress Through Art: Take a colored pencil or crayon and express your stress or burden through different lines and patterns. Choose colors that represent your current emotions or mood.
  • Releasing Stress: Crumple up the paper and squeeze it like a stress ball. Keep ripping it until you feel lighter inside out. Take your time to feel the lightness of the paper.
  • Creating a Symbol of Freedom: Take a second piece of paper and collage your ripped pieces onto a bird, piece by piece, to represent freedom. Decorate the bird with colors and imagery that make you feel free.

This exercise is all about acknowledging the past and present, letting go, and making peace with your life.
